Funny how you missed the game because you just came back from your j.o.b. yet previously you said you fell asleep! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

What's it going to be then chief...job or sleep?(nothing to do with us losing then!)

And why isn't it stimulating to keep up with your teams progress? I bet you would have been posting like a good 'un had we won today (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Keep believing, eh! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Okay so I came back from work .. waited for the game and dozed off while logged on the milanfan .. So that strange ?!

Nope actually I was dead tired ... I dozed off something like 10 mins after kick off.

It's Torino for Fiorentina next week!
The story of Milan of 2007-2008... ups and downs... no consistency at all.

mostly downs.

the best the could muster was a couple of 3 game winning streaks.

Could you explain that a bit? why can't Milan promise the Scudetto the newcomers or the fans or whoever? I can't understand that.
*

Why? Cause the competition in the Serie A is way harder then in the Bundesliga. Cause Milan was last in the scudetto title race 2 years ago.

When Ribery and Toni came to Bayern they didn't doubt much about who will be the league winner. And from day one till now, FCB stayed top. Milan cannot promise a title like that, because of the two things I've mentioned.

well they could start with building a competent squad. besides no one said we need to win the league, to challenge would be enough.

I'm back from the baseball game (pictures forthcoming). Here are datasport's ratings for the game. It makes pretty grim reading:

Kalac 5.5
Bonera 5
Favalli 5.5
Nesta 5
Kaladze 5.5
Jankulovski 5.5
Kaka` 5.5
Ambrosini 6
Seedorf 6
Gattuso 5
Brocchi 5.5
Serginho 5
Inzaghi 5.5
Pato 5

Exactly, we were in it 2 years ago and why aren't we now? Calciopoli is NOT an excuse. Juve were hit much harder, yet they've found their feet just fine. It's called ambition, or lack of in our case.

i sort of agree, but juve also only had the league to look at. we had the cl, world cup, and league for the majority of the season. it's kind of hard to say that juve would be able to compete in all of those with their current team.

i think if juve had lost del piero or trezeguet like we lost sheva they wouldn't be as good as they were this year.

Very true. Del Piero is the joint highest scorer (with Borriello) this season with 19 goals. Ditto for Trezeguet who's also at 19. Takes these 38 goals out of the equation and Juve would have been lost. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If that had happened, Juve would have gotten a replacement for that loss. It will be 2 years since Sheva left in the summer and we still have not even tried to find a replacement...

And before you name them:
Ronaldo? He has played what? 10 games for us... Oh! great replacement! And the whole world knew he is injury-prone. He also came 6 months late but let's say we took our time.
Pato? Yeah right... the young Brazilian has the potential to reach Sheva's level but he's far away from that level now. Pretty far away.
Oliveira? Hah!

Well after the Inter game from the comments Galliani made it looked like we were heading back to the times when he said we're fine as we are, we made a big signing with Flamini and we won't purchase anyone else.

Hopefully playing UEFA cup for one season will be enough to finally open his eyes. And maybe if we're lucky he'll finally realize that Carlo Ancelotti's reign as coach has come to an end and that we should finally make a clean break this summer

It seems to me that when we win you are there posting how great management are, how proud you are to support Milan and bash anyone who dares criticize the management. When we lose you always seem to be busy (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

You also said something interesting in a previous post that following Milan on the pc is not stimulating enough for you, yet nearly everyone else was here and we couldn't watch the game neither!

I finally saw the highlights, and the results were grim. It was an abysmal performance, with kaka's and Pato's misses criminal and Nesta will an extremely clumsy performance. 3-1 was flattering considering they hit the bar/post quite a few times

We need to shape up, leave this in the past and focus on the task in hand. (and wish for a miracle in Torino)

I had not noticed Lavezzi was that quick! He's... FAST! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Not so fast with the ball but without it... he's amazingly quick!

Anyway... let's forget about this game... not that we can do otherwise, there's not much to remember...
