Hmh, I'm not sure anymore. Fassone isn't Fester.

Oh and, why the hell have we given up on Ibra? Is it Raiola or?

No, I think Ibra wants to stay on in Man Utd. He's even willing to reduce his wage.

I just watched the passiamo alle cose formale video. Fassone said that 'with Nikola, we complete the team, having signed 11 new players'. Could be read either way about there being new signings (it was clearly 'the team' not 'a team'). I have a suspicion there may be another signing or two, however.

edited because this fish cannot spell.

Why would it horrify you to begin with? Kalinic might not be a huge name but he's a very capable striker and most importantly a team player which is something Montella specifically wanted

Oh Han, stop being so argumentative and obtuse, mate.

If we're going to play 3-5-2 then we're well covered. If we're going to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 then we absolutely need to sign another winger. I also think we're going to sign a vice-Kessie.

Niang declined another offer from Spartak, 23M precisely.

It either works well in Russia or it doesn't. You're either Wagner Love or Hulk.

And frankly it's not a division players really want to go to. Quite simply Niang doesn't want to move to Russia.

Which does speak volumes of his ambition - footballers endemically have to accept they may end up far far away in the name of their careers. It's part of the life.

The fact he's rejecting such a move suggests he's more concerned with being happy and settled than rich and ambitious.

But, it's not just Russia that he declined. He declined an offer from Everton too before. I don't understand this at all...

I think Niang wants to reconnect with Miha again. But Milan rejected their offer. So he's stretching it till Milan agrees to Torino's upcoming offer? Only God knows whats going on.

With regards to Galliani v2 remarks that our team is complete, I agree with him as this team can achieve a CL birth which is the current target. Any stellar player should be when we qualify, but his words are loose hence the Galliani v2; as he could clearly be finalizing a deal for the stellar signing. The cherry on top of the cream.

Di Marzio is linking us with Barça's Rafinha.

He wants Toro. And Toro does not want to pay nearly as much as Spartak.

Would be happy to take 12M for him at this point. However, it seems like we could still use him, so perhaps we should keep him as a backup.

NO! Can't fathom his presence anymore.

The club has put him for sale and Di Marzio just said that Niang has presented a medical certificate to the club to miss training for the next ten days due to stress (similar to what Kalinic did with Fiorentina).

Why? You're being overly critical so why can't I be argumentattive? Like Cutrone will be enough either way if Kalinic is not hit...

Agreed about the winger and another mid

As for the 3-5-2, I still think we need that other winger/forward + mid. The squad is very thin imo and with out injury track record I'd feel more comfortable with those extra 2 players. Not to mention I'd prefer it if Borini wasn't 2nd choice for anyone

Yep and now he's apparently produced a 10 day medical certificate so that he won't have to train! We really need to offload him ASAP, if he wants Toro just let him go there, even if the money is not as good and try to get first refusal on Belotti

i get that, but would you turn that down? Personally I would suck it up for a bit, pocket the cas and move on in 3-4 years. He apparently wants to go to Toro, let's hope we can close the deal and be done with it

I don't think we're going to get a big name (like Auba for example). We'll most likely bring in 2 other good players and that's when I think the squad will be complete.

Fassone was probably saying the team is complete from a numerical perspective, meaning we'll only sign someone else if some leaves

Nope, we have Borini for that, he simply can't be on this team any longer. He just needs to go, simple as that, and we need to make it clear to him that he has no place at this club.

We don't need a back up, we need a good winger who will come in and make a difference, not another subpar player to rotate

Niang's problem is that he thinks he's better than he really is, that's why he wants to stay

This!

He's acting like the club would punish him for missing training, I don't think they really care either way and would have granted him off days to make the decision. He's an idiot who's full of himself. At his point I'd FedEx him to Toro, even if we're missing out on approx 10m for sending him there instead of forcing him to accept Spartak

As for Niang and his recent behavior: remember his agent is Mino Raiola, who isn't exactly popular at Casa Milan right now. As for him turning down the Spartak offer, part of me understands IF it's because of the blatant racism in Russia. If it's not that, then I'm confused. Spartak won the Russian league last year and have a good (Italian) coach in Massimo Carrera (ex Gobbo player, formerly Conte's assistant). Chelsea sent Pasalic there this year.

Whispers here and there about Milan looking to pick up another midfielder. Rafinha from Barca was mentioned, Emre Mor from Dortmund (who has the same agent as Calhanoglu), and according to Il Giornale this morning, a possible Marchisio deal may not be quite dead yet.

Looks like he's trying to push through a move to Toro

I think Niang is simply someone who doesn't like much change, he's probably afraid of going to Russia, just like he was afraid of going to England permanently and came back here with his tail between his legs even after Watford wanted to make his move permanent.

Toro is a safe place for him, it's not that far away from Milan, Miha is their coach someone he obviously enjoyed playing under and had some of his best games under. For him it's a no brainer, while for us, after having 23m dangled in front of us for a player not even worth half of that, it's going to be an issue to accept the reported 13m Toro are offering, but I think we should accept it and move on, try to get a first refusal on Belotti though to sweeten it a bit for us

I thought there was an offer for Belotti, someone paying the full 100M. As for Niang, logic says you are right, we should take the 13M and be happy. However, emotion says I would rather let him rot on the bench than letting him + Cairo sc**w us.
