Milan play Hamburg in a friendly on January 6 (Tuesday). The game will be shown live on Mediaset and on delay on Milan Channel.

The current thought in Italy is that Beckham will play at least some part of this game.

Hamburg are a good side - their danger men are the two Croatian strikers (Petric and Olic) and midfielder Piotr Trochowski. Should be a good game.

Ah some Milan action is always good. I too hope to see some kids and I'm also interested in watching Beckham... I mean, after all he's a new signing...

Good, physical match up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) And like Tennie said, keep an eye out for the Croats, particularly Olic. I'll create the Roma match thread later today, as that match is on 11 (my father's birthday!) Good luck for today, though.

Just answered my own question, 4pm Italian time on Mediaset Premium - thought you meant either Canale 5, Rete 4 or Italia 1, got my hopes up for a minute. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Here is Carletto's prematch press conference, translation courtesy of acmilan.com's english page:

QUOTE
DUBAI - These are the declarations of Carlo Ancelotti on the eve of the Milan-Hamburg friendly game scheduled for tomorrow: "It was without doubt an important week in which we have worked very well thanks to everyone's availability and also thanks to the favourable weather conditions. I'm convinced that in the second part of the league this very good work will have a certain weight. For us it's never easy, in Milan, to work for seven consecutive days. I saw an improvement in the athletic condition of various players, in particular that of Andriy Shevchenko. I think that in the second part of the season Sheva will have an important role. This first part of the season was not easy for him, but now he managed to get on the same level of his team-mates from the athletic point of view."

The Milan coach continued talking about tomorrow's game: "We want to show all of our best qualities, with the objetive of entertaining the public and winning. The only two unavailable players will be Bonera and Borriello. I know that there is a lot of curiosity around Beckham and I can easily say that the player is available and therefore he can play. During these day he worked very well and I noticed that he is very helpful and willing to work. Nine points behind Inter? They are a lot but in the first part of the season we had to face various injuries unfortunately, particularly in the defensive phase and the absence of Nesta and other players created us some problems. Our objective is that of recovering all our players in the best condition for the second part of the season, and I'm convinced that the squad will not disappoint."

Quick note on morning training: it was mostly athletic work (no practice game). Bonera took part in most of the training with his teammates (yay!). Borriello continued his physical therapy. Kaka trained separately due to a muscle issue but is expected to play tomorrow.

It's a friendly, whoarethepatriots. I imagine there'll be quite a few subs, hopefully including the kids. From the photos seen so far, we know Darmian and Strasser are there.

Note's from today's training session in the morning: there was alot of crossing practice with Favalli , Jankulovski , Antonini and Beckham !! , Kalac got hurt a little when a cross came in and went off the pitch and Abbiati replaced him in goal , but he was walking so im sure it was just a bruise.
