Very well played. All players deserve praise, especially Taarabt, Balotelli, Kaká. Constant finally got past his recent bad showings and put up a solid performance topped with a perfectly precise cross. What was the last time we scored a goal like that?

I had a dilemma between Balo and Taarabt for MoM, in the end I went with Taarabt.

Apart from some minor mistakes by Constant, Rami (two pretty stupid ones) and Abate, spotless presentation. This time no flop for me.

What mistake from Abate?

You mean the one where he absolutely had to take Mesbah down or he'd have been clean through?

Had Abate not done that Livorno would have scored while the game was at 1-0, which would have changed the complexion of the game completely. The fact that Mesbah was allowed clean through wasn't Abate's mistake either

I'd actually call what Abate did the opposite of a mistake

Not the incident, I agree, he did what he had to do. He had a few positional errors and passing errors as well. I remember someone (Monto?) shouting how he should cover the right flank. But it's all minor, like I said.

Two votes for Robinho, one Abate for flop. Anyone care to explain?

I voted for Robinho as flop. The guy's just rubbish.

I don't think he was "that bad". Sure, he wasn't on pair with the others, still made a few good or very good attacks.

What? Thought Robinho did very well. Also taking into consideration that the guy hasn't played any decent football since the opening month of the season.

I think people are viewing Abate getting that yellow as a mistake, instead of him saving our asses after a collective defensive mistake where the entire defence were pushed up too high with no one to cover

Anyway, Top for me was Balo hands down, basically instrumental in every goal we scored

Flop: Rami. Did nothing really to merit it aside from a couple of heart stopping moments like when he mis-kicked the ball in the area with Mexes thankfully being the one behind him rather than a Livorno player

Btw, Fillipo, you have Rami's and Taraabt's first names mixed up in the poll. It's Adil Rami and Adel Taraabt (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Don't see it. Every time he touches the ball I cringe. Can't do one good thing to save his life. Sure, he's been much worse in other games, but he was still very poor against Livorno.

Yeah, that's a personal sentiment. But what has he done that made him poor against Livorno? IMO he had some very good attacking buildup's and smart incursions. Not great, but he made no real mistake.

Voted for Mario as Man of Match and Kaka as flop. I think it says something that Kaka's performance was the weakest, since it wasn't that bad actually.

He was just not at his best touch-wise or run-wise. An atypical 7/10 performance from him. I believe his lack of incision was what kept Balotelli quiet through the majority of the first half. But then thanks to Livorno being quiet along the wings our fullbacks started pushing more.
