The only thing that has bugged me a lot about this great World Cup is the overall poor level of officiating and it's happening every matchday.

It could be a necessary solution with DDR injured.

I like it, as it's the only way we can get the best out of Juve's defenders, who don't put a foot wrong all year in the league but look like idiots for the Nazionale.

I think it's a great formation. You get the best out of everyone.

Don't know how DS will do or how he'll line-up that midfield but given the situation I think it's probably the best he can put out, have to admit, I'm not a fan of the 3-man defence system, but that defence is a huge concern, and those 3 at the back are more comfortable in this formation

Also, I think it's a counter measure to Uruguay's obvious use of counter attacking.

Ghastly from Belgium till 85 minutes when Hazard woke up, Origi showed up, and they absolutely destroyed the Russians thereafter.

This young team has much to learn but my God they have talent.

US down early this time. Awful clearance attempt and then Howard for some reason fell over allowing Nani to smash it over him.

Yeah, to lose the ball like that in the dying seconds of the game... That can potentially cost them the 1/8 by goal diffrence if they lose to Germany and Ghana beats Portugal.

Portugal will need a miracle so they are probably out anyway. Don't know how fit he's but besides that assist cross, Ronaldo was very poor, especially in the second half.

4 Portugal players around him, just boot it anywhere.

First half he was good, 2nd half he was very wasteful. Probably assist of the tournament though both in quality and importance.

Just when I was going to be so scathing on Ronaldo, who to be fair isn't fully fit. He produces that cross, as good as a goal to be honest, on a platter. It's not completely out of the question to see the goal swing.

However, Portugal look awful, Nani is an incredibly average player. Ronaldo just seems to get frustrated with what is around him. Moutinho/Meireles have been awfully disappointing too.

Been a fantastic group to watch for neutrals though.
