No Milan move for Sheva

Andrei Shevchenko's agent has ruled out a return to Italy for the Chelsea striker.

Shevchenko has been linked with a possible move back to former club Milan after a difficult first season in England.

The Ukrainian international scored only four goals in the Premier League for The Blues last term and failed to completely win over Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

However, Shevchenko's agent Stephen Curnow insists the striker is determined to prove his worth in England, and will not be seeking a return to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

"Andrei was disappointed with his first season, but he is determined to help bring success to the club next season," Curnow told the Daily Star.

"It has never been his desire or on the agenda to move away from Chelsea."

Milan have made no secret of the fact that they would welcome Shevchenko back with open arms, whilst the Rossoneri have also been linked with Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o.

I'm really sorry but there is no chance of this happening.

Chelsea have not made any real efforts to find a new striekr of the right calibre- Pizzaro is merely a bench warmer lets face it. After all, if Sheva was telling the truth, and we hope he was, when he said his move was not for money or footballing reasons, but for his wife, then unless she suddenly swallowed an italian dictionary or found that Eton had a branch in Milan, Sheva is staying firmly in Sir Malcolm Rifkind's constituency.

Blatantly a striker is required. Time spent discussing Sheva as this striker is however time wasted, I feel.

If Chelsea do not sign another world-class forward there's no chance they're going to sell Sheva as they're going to have to do without Drogba for about a month (African Cup of Nations) ...

Word. The myth of Sheva returning to Milan is up there with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

I love how we continue to be linked with Eto'o despite the fact he's said about a hundred times that he's staying at Barca.

Yeah Chelsea has given him a new challenge and its a pretty interesting place to be with Mourinho and Stamford Bridge is a beautiful stadium.

Personally I didn't see it happening from the beginning and in a way like Maldini and other I didn't feel that he should just leave and walk back so easily.

Sheva To Ask For Milan Return

The Andriy Shevchenko transfer saga continues as the hitman is scheduled for crunch talks with Roman Abramovich over his desire to move back to AC Milan.

The story has appeared in several papers including the ‘Daily Mirror’, ‘Daily Star’ and ‘Sky Italia’ television, all of whom report that the former Ballon d’Or winner will beg his Russian friend over the next few days for a cut-price £15m return to his former club.

Various agents and club-spokesmen have either inflamed or squashed gossip of the transfer during the summer transfer window, but the men who really matter such as Milan Supremo Silvio Berlusconi and Vice-President Adriano Galliani have never hid their desire to see their former golden boy back at the Rossoneri, in-fact Galliani seemed to clue the media in on the possibility of a transfer by stating,

“I spoke to Shevchenko and he knows what he has to do.”

To add more fuel to the fire, the fact that Jose Mourinho has remained tight-lipped over any possible switch is noteworthy. For the Chelsea manager is usually very vocal in responding to transfer rumours of players he likes and wants to keep.

Although the speculation of this particular transfer has rumbled on ever since Shevchenko arrived in West London, this recent turn of events might prove significant. For it seems the Ukrainian is following the exact same tactics as when he engineered his own move to the Blues, when he personally asked Berlusconi for the transfer.
