Adriano Galliani says Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and Didier Drogba are on a list of five strikers that could "arrive" at Milan this summer.

Unlike Internazionale and Juventus, European champions AC Milan are yet to make their first summer signing as they bid to mount a sustained challenge for the Serie A title.

The Rossoneri are keen to acquire a striker following their failure to sign Cagliari's David Suazo, who joined arch rivals Inter, and the departure of Brazilian hitman Ricardo Oliveira on a one-year loan deal to Spanish club Real Zaragoza.

And they are setting their sights on the cream of the world's talent.

"One of these five non-European players that we are following will arrive," said Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani. "Those players are Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Drogba, (Samuel) Eto'o and (Alexandre) Pato."

Milan are aware that the chances of signing Ronaldinho or Eto'o this summer are slim, Barcelona having warned the Italian giants that both are unavailable for transfer.

The Rossoneri also face tough opposition from Chelsea and Inter to sign 17-year-old Brazilian starlet Pato, who has a contract with Internacional until 2009.

And it is no secret that Milan are eager to bring Shevchenko back to the San Siro.

The Ukraine international has failed to make an impact since joining Chelsea last summer and is reportedly keen on a return to

Dream? Ronaldinho + Pato (now or in January). 1+1=2.

Reality? I dunno...

This is Galliani words--
"Yes, those five names are correct, although there is a sixth one, which I will not tell you even under torture,” he joked. “In any case, the new signing will be a non-EU player.”

The 5 here mentioned above and 1 additional player. We should be getting at least two players.

Its a non-EU player(European Union). So it basically tells us nothing because the list is all non-EU players.

Liverpool also got babel.

Surely galliani will deliver something, I'll be surprised if its anything more than empty box. So over this transfer bullsh*t. If it happens it happens. Else I pray for no major injuries and we should have a great season any how.

thats it the scudetto should be our main target this year, especially cuz inter is getting dangerously close with 15 + plus i'd like us to get that 2nd star before juve get their 3rd

Eto'o Future Divides Spanish Media

Samuel Eto'o's future has once again become the centre of the tug-of-war between the Catalan and Madrid press after reports in Italy stated that AC Milan were preparing an offer.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport believe that the Rossoneri will bring in one star name before the start of the new campaign and have included Eto'o with Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko and Alexendre Pato.

The Italian daily has pictures of the five players on the front page with the words "I will sign one of these" from Milan vice president, Adriano Galliani.

"We will try to sign another great player up front," the Italian club's director is quoted as saying.

"I cannot tell you which one though out of respect for the club's involved. There is also a sixth one, who is non-EU, but I will ont say who even under torture."

In Catalunya, Sport have said that Ronaldinho has already bene ruled out by Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and laughed off a successful bid for Eto'o.

The paper stated that Galliani is joking if he considers that either Barça or Chelsea will allow their players to leave.

Comparisons are made between the Milanista director making false promises to sign heavyweight players and Real Madrid supremo Ramón Calderón's declaration that he would capture Kaká.

Over in Madrid, Marca are keen to ensure that the pot is kept boiling at Camp Nou and have suggested that a delegation from Milan are due in Barcelona with a blank cheque.

The story continues by including Arsenal and Chelsea and stating that the London duo are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Eto'o has stated on numerous occasions that he has no intention of leaving Barça, while president Joan Laporta has said that none of the club's top players will be allowed to leave this summer.

There's not much point in a wanted list if we're not going to go out and try and get those players. Saying we want top players, getting them is something else.
