QUOTE (han2503 @ Feb 21 2021, 08:09 PM) One thing I hope Pioli doesn't do is over-correct
We shouldn't be changing formations or completely overhauling the system imo. That's a recipe for disaster. He should trust in what has brought him here so far. What, luck? We've been remarkably cr*p this season - no better than usual bar Ibra. The difference is everyone else has been even worse, until, that is, Inter stepped up. And in case this sounds familiar, it's exactly the same argument you used to dismiss our Scudetto in 2011 when you claimed Juve lost it and we didn't win it. Well that's exactly what is happening again - other teams have been so horrible even this sh*tty Milan was doing quite well. But Inter woke up and that's that. QUOTE We just need to make sure that we have a plan B when what we usually do is not working. We clearly struggle a lot when teams press us high, Pioli has to find a solution for how to counter this Blah blah blah. Love all these armchair tacticians who don't have a clue. Including myself.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Feb 21 2021, 11:09 PM) Benevento 0-0 Roma
I was just about to say that if Roma win tonight and beat us next weekend we'd be on par points, but it looks like that's not gonna happen.
It's a very strange year. I agree with Danny that everyone has been quite bad this season, Juventus in primis. We've managed to scrape good results despite being very underwhelming overall. I think we were in some way riding on the wave of last season's fantastic post-lockdown form. But now the magic seems to be fading. Have to agree. It was superb lockdown form last season, even I took my hat off to it, but it just hasn't been there this season - there's been a winning mentality at times thanks to Ibra, but that wheel came off a while ago. QUOTE We need to react. There's plenty of games to follow, even though the disappointment from today's defeat is too huge to overlook. And in all honesty, no team who loses 3-0 to their title rivals in such a crucial fixture deserves to win the scudetto. I'm 100% certain the title will be Inter's. What do we react with? We've been running on empty for 6 months yet still keeping going somehow.

Blah blah blah. Love all these armchair tacticians who don't have a clue. Including myself. When have I ever said that Juve lost it? Juve weren't even in the running for the Scudetto in 2011. It was us, Inter and Napoli that season, Juve were miles behind. We lost it to Juve in 2012, not the other way around, and I maintain that stance to this day, as we had the better team back then. And I disagree, re this season, just 2 weeks ago we were at a better points tally than we were at the same point in 2011 when we won it. The problem this season is there is a bigger gap between the bottom teams and the upper teams, thus teams like Roma, Lazio, Juve etc have kept up with us and Inter even when both Milan clubs were breaking records that stood for more than 2 decades (mostly us). Inter are the better side no question, but to say we have ridden our luck all season is just as excuse to say you were right all along. You don't stay top of the table for practically half an entire season by mistake. We dropped lots of points against smaller sides due to the injury crises we were going through at the time. We seem to have hit a mental block in the new year. But there is no point in acting like it's the apocalypse for this team. We're still in a good position, one which we worked ourselves into. And no by luck, which arguably has been lacking for us all season. With all the injuries and leading the table in amount of woodwork hits. We're still in charge of what happens next. I don't expect Inter to be perfect going forward either, they've lost stupid points just as we have. What we need to make sure of is that we don't let this spiral any longer. Roma is do or die in term of top 4 imo. Losing that as well would plunge us into a crises

But apparently you're not dismissing us this season even though we've been poor. An excuse to say I was right? I was right! I told you this wasn't real.
