De Sciglio looking very good against Bulgaria, on the left wing.

That's where he should play for us, not on the right.

Abate should hands down be the automatic starter there. DS and Antonelli should compete for the left

I do gather he had a very good match tonight, but then Bulgaria are a thoroughly mediocre international team.

Antonelli has done nothing to merit being dropped while MDS has done nothing in a Milan shirt to merit starting.

For now it would only be just if Abate is RB and Antonelli is LB.

But then, Antonelli is injured and a massive doubt for the derby so the selection technically takes care of itself.

If MDS has a stellar match on the left v Inter then I will be happy to see him remain there till he loses form.

It's at least one position (both full back slots) we're healthy in.

And the goalkeeper, and the strikers, and the central defense (provided Mexès starts with Romagnoli). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Only problem is our midfield, which Galliani totally wrecked via his wrong and thoughtless signings. We needed two or three creative players up there, not the ones we have now.

That's why I said they should fight for the left side, but Abate should be the undisputed starter on the right for us unless not fit.

I seriously do not understand why it takes each of our coaches so long to grasp this. The only one who got it right with them was Allegri, who I've always said did good work with our FBs

Agreed to an extent.

We could use one other top CB, but all in all our biggest issues are in midfield

Defence worries me. I've been on record as saying no two defenders reassure me and I stand by that. Even my personal favourite of Alex and Zaps isn't exactly Sandro and Silva. We have an utterly woeful selection of CBs.

Yeah, goalie and attack is great. It's all the stuff in between that ain't.

And yet I'm sure you (and others) claim MDS went backwards under him? Personally I just think MDS struggles for us, coach irrelevant.

Midfield: imbalanced and weak

Defence: unconvincing

Honestly, defensive problems are always going to pop up when you have a very exposed midfield which is not functioning as a unit.

We have some good defensive players, and they might look bad/exposed because of this.

It's like a puzzle really, and we're missing the most important piece. Oh well..keep going with that rant.

Nah, DS flourished during his time under Max, just like Abate did. What set DS back during the Allegri period was the continuous injuries, just like with SES and many others.

Midfield: You're right, and I'd add completely mediocre to that.

Defence: Good enough for Serie A and shouldn't be having a lot of issues if it weren't for the midfield continuously leaving the back 4 exposed

Attack and GK: Agreed

Well, it's not as bad as the (lack of creativity in our) midfield, that's for sure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I do hope that Romagnoli strings a partnership with someone at the back, and with DeScig and Abate covering the flanks, we will stay solid, if not watertight. That's my hope, though, and a lot of this comes down to whether Romagnoli delivers.

If not, then yes, we're in trouble just like last season when it comes to the central pairing.

True, been a while since we've had a good striker, to be honest. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Far too much has beens and players on decline in the past few seasons, so hopefully, action at both ends of the pitch will be a lot more enjoyable from now on. In particular, our goal scoring. I need that.

To be honest, I quite admire Turkey and the way they approach the game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Almost all their matches that I've seen have been entertaining, with the players giving their all. Started liking their NT after World Cup 2002 actually, or during the event, rather. They're a good watch, if not a collection of great players.

Albania 0-1 Portugal

92' Veloso

Very unlucky. Losing in the end like this from a corner kick always sucks. Still, we have very good chances of finishing second. Denmark have only one game left against Portugal away, whereas we have two more games against the last two in the standings, i.e. Serbia and Armenia.
