QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jun 27 2015, 11:59 PM) Well, here are some thoughts on this:
*) You all say Bacca needs service. How good was Sevilla in that aspect? I watched only the EL final, so I can hardly say anything about it. Do they have a more creative midfield then usual or?
**) One thing you forget to mention Danny is that we could have signed younger players at least. I mean bot Bacca and Bertolacci are not exactly fresh talents. At least by signing younger talented players you have much options, selling them for big money, develop them and turn into a long term project. Remember how we kept refraining - Milan will be the new Arsenal in terms of project? That, like all our recent strategies, went down the drain. Spending €50 million and still not making any significant move in terms of quality is a serious fail.
Btw. on a footnote, Pazzini's contract is expired/about to expire. So he won't be with us any longer I guess. 1: Don't include me in 'all' (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I haven't a bloody clue about Bacca tbh - I haven't ever watched him other than the EL final and even then I only now know he scored twice but didn't exactly pay major attention to him in the match. I suppose you can say any striker other than a monster like Ibra needs service. But the variation is the amount of service - a Pippo type needs major service whereas as a Suarez doesn't need such heavy service. But still needs some. 2: As X says, 24 isn't bad. As for Bacca, 28, not a spring chicken, but has a better scoring record (much better) for his country than Jackson did and in a far harder league has 1 in 2. Not as good as Jackson's 2 in 3 in Portugal but evens itself out given he was in a relatively inferior team (by comparison Porto are Portugal's best) in a tougher league. 3: Had no idea Pazzo was expired. If that's the case, there's absolutely no issue that his move to Samp failed. He's not our problem any longer.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 27 2015, 11:38 PM) Bacca 14/15 goalsWell, what's there to say? Classic poacher who thrives on service and nothing more. Reminds me of Inzaghi in many ways. I'm not happy in the least with his signing considering we're paying €30-fucking-million for him! I honestly can't believe we've just spent €50 million on Bertolacci and Bacca. Sincere apologies to Han, FM! and everyone else who kept moaning about Galliani. This guy is gonna f*ck us over with his idiotic signings again, isn't he? This has always been my issue tbh, whether we have money or not at this point is irrelevant. The problem is that now that we have some money to spend it's going to be wasted like this. We're spending 30m on a poacher (which is what we did with Inzaghi) but when we bought Pippo he had one of the most creatively blessed teams behind him to supply him with opportunities. Bacca will face serious issues with us, just like the long stream of strikers that preceded him have. Bertolacci is another majorly bad deal, we're spending 20m on a would be Roma bench warmer, how f@cking stupid can Galliani get? If Roma sign someone really worth having with that money than we can easily say this trumps the Matri deal which funded Juve's move for Tevez. Sorry for being a debby downer, but we have no one with a good head on their shoulders at this point at the club. Berlusconi has a big striker fetish, almost as big as the one he has for underage girls. Galliani does his best to accommodate that fetish witch each summer spending money on strikers who fail because they don't have a proper team behind them Galliani is a joke in today's footballing community. And by extension he has turned Milan into a joke. Players are reluctant to join the club, he's given lavish contracts to players who don't deserve them and now we cannot offload them. He's chosen a coach that does not inspire much people, let alone potential signings. It's just one big mess. We're about to sell up nearly half the club's shares and still nothing is changing. Until Galliani is removed from his post, nothing will. He's a cancer to this club. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 28 2015, 12:35 PM) CM: Luiz Adriano, Ibrahimovic and Pjaca LinkAt this rate we'll end up having 2132183721837129 strikers next season. Luiz Adriano... Wtf do we need this guy for, mediocre striker. And why did we go into the trouble of getting Niang back anyway? Should have let him stay another year at Genoa. We still have SES, Menez, Cerci and Niang at this point on the roster, and we're about to add 4 more strikers?? Which I guess is in line with the numbers Gazzetta quoted in terms squad size But still, we're going to be using 4 mids and 2 strikers. For any other sane management and coach that would mean needing 4 strikers and 8 mids. But no, le's just get 9 strikers and 6 mids, with most of the mids being average squad fillers.

Having watched that vid of Bacca, he really does have similar characteristics to Pippo, only he has the strength and physical qualities of a proper athlete (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) We'll see, nothing done yet, which seems to be a running theme for all our deals aside from Ely (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Still not worth anywhere near 30m 20 would have been a more fair number

QUOTE According to Gazzetta, Mihajlovic wants a roster of 25 players for next season This would be a best case scenario that suits the reasonably unreasoned mercato tendencies GKs: Lopez, Abbiati, Donnarumma (if we can loan Gabriel) FBs: Abate, MDS, Antonelli, Zaccardo CBs: Maximovic/Glik ,Alex, Zapata, Paletta, Ely MFs: De Jong, Montolivo, Poli, Baselli, Bertolacci, Bonaventura, Suso, Nocerino FW: El Sha, Menez, Bacca, Niang, Mastour/Petagna/Cerci

QUOTE (il_diavolo_mtl @ Jun 28 2015, 05:13 PM) You'd say that before and after any and every signing han... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) It's not a CL winning squad but it's a start... Well if we actually got quality in, I'd say otherwise, that roster you posted isn't very far from what we'll likely end up with and looking at other teams that are improving, that squad would scrape through to the EL places. And that's looking at things optimistically, because we have a group of players that are damaged to the core and need some serious rehabilitating. We could just as easily end up having a season just like the one we've just witnessed, especially if Mihajlovic doesn't click with the players @ Danny, they can still sign new contracts after the current one ends. Especially if they have no other prospective offers from other clubs. I wouldn't be surprised if Bonera signed a new deal. @ x-off, is the Pazzo deal official?
