A Germany-Spain Final with Germany winning would make me go mad I think. Not just the outcome, but I dread to think how dull that would be.

Mad? Why? Germany deserves it much more then the dull Spain.

Germany are fine to watch against bad teams. Very full against others in my opinion.

RE: CR7 criticism:

It's a tough situation:
1) if he took the first one and missed, ppl would have been like "gosh why is he such an ego-mniac...didn't he already miss a crucial pen already? He should have let someone else take it for the good of the team" OR
2)If he took the 1st one and missed he would again get the choker tag that iBra often gets by the media

I don't particularly blame him. He probably could have done better with the free kicks though.

Why the first one? he could have taken another one, like the one Alves missed. and no, IMO as someone in the running for Ballon d'Or/someone considered the year's best player, etc. etc. he should have taken a penalty, and faced up to the criticism if he missed. that's how it is, that's called responsibility and it comes with that armband, it comes with the every day, excessive hype these guys get.

Messi would have never chickened away from taking a penalty for Argentina against Spain and his teammates. granted, Ronaldo's problem was Casillas who he probably thought might read his mind, but he still should have gone for it. especially after the underwhelming performance he had put in 120 minutes minus the first half maybe.

I dunno why everyone wants to call Ronaldo a whiner now. He was supposed to take the last penalty, which is, along with the first one, the hardest to take.

So England, Argentina and Brasil are bad teams?

Yesterdays game was symbolic for this Euro. Boring to death (except for the last 5 minutes of extra time that is). Also, Spain football, a revelation in 2008, becamemore fatiguing than warm milk with honey. When it was about possession AND fast, attack-minded football in the past, it's now just possesion, possession, possession. It's not Tika-Taka anymore, it is, like some news agency said, Tiki-Takanaccio.

I just hope to the gods and then the God of those gods and then the God that created the creator God and then the one that is behind THAT one etc etc..., for the sake of football, sports and entertainment, to watch a game that has something to offer today.

I think both sides will come out to play tonight.

I can't wait for it, but I'm sort of dreading it. Because if Chiellini is not back, I don't know how Bonucci and Barzagli will cope. I simply cannot think about Bonucci being up against Gomez...

Then again, the German's defence can be a bit suspect so I'm hopeful.

I'm also worried about some reports which said that Diamanti could start over Casssano, that would be such a ridiuclous move on Prandelli's part I wouldn't even know where to start criticising. Diamanti is average at best, just because he hit the cross barr off an intended cross does not mean that he should start ahead of someone like Cassano FFS

To be fair and honest, England and Argentina were bad teams back then. England was a bad team, and Maradona made Argentina a bad one.

Spain simply plays most boring football ever. Just passing the ball around, and then when it's half time the commentator said they dominated the game.

I haven't read anything about Cassano not being fit. In fact I just read on FI that he'll most likely start tonight, with the only change from the England game being Chiellini coming in at LB instead of Barzagli...

That's another stupid decision should it happen. Why remove one of the most impressive players for Italy and let a liability lik Bonucci in the center, plus putting your best CB at LB...
