QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 5 2012, 09:38 PM) Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Mexès, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Nocerino, Van Bommel, Emanuelson; El Shaarawy; Robinho, Ibrahimovic. Looks nearly perfect except for Antonini. Mesbah isn't great but he's better than Luca.

Well, as the good folks used to say, change is the only constant. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) The last personal attachment I felt with the club was our 2007 CL win. An year after that the passion was still there, but we were slow with the change of faces and had to endure a barren few seasons. Unfortunate, but hey, that's just how things were then. Last year's Scudetto win was great as well, but can't match the attachment of the Golden years. Maybe it's a lot of new faces, maybe it's the fact that the club has sold its soul to get here. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) If it were any other club (that did not have the family system of AC Milan) then I'd have understood, but that spirit has sadly dissipated. For sure I'll be smiling if we good in this match, as I will if we win the league or CL again. But something is missing!

I know. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) But for a more experienced (read older) Milan fan like me, this was just return to form, not glory. Few are things that can compare to what we used to achieve, and who knows, maybe this is the start of another glorious run, a bunch of good showings in Europe, another filling of the trophy cabinet. I'm not complaining! But like I said, and a few other fans can attest to, this can't compare, and shouldn't be compared to years gone by.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 6 2012, 03:49 PM) Wow, just watched the highlights for Liverpool-Arsenal. Liverpool completely destroyed them, should have scored at least 4-5 goals. Pretty much what han said earlier. This makes me more confident. The only thing that worries me is that we might fall into the over-confident trap. Although Allegri's Milan is far too different from that of Carlo to make such comparisons to past idiocies in the CL. This team is far too cynical for that. All I want is to see a smart, confident showing. No mistakes or inviting them onto us. They'll have a very lightweight midfield, especially if Rosicky is the one partnering Song in front of the defence. So Robs, El Shaa and especially Ibra should have a lot of joy in their areas. Our midfield should keep Gervinho, AOC and Walcott quite and prevent them from bringing RvP into the game as they did in the first leg
