Ummmmm.. why has Marc Albrighton not even made the list for Young Player of the Year!? AlbrightonGames: 25 Goals: 5 Assists: 6 Bale (Who happens to be on the Player of the Year list as well! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) Games: 25 Goals: 7 Assists: 1 ColemanGames: 28 Goals: 4 Assists: 3 Now I'm not saying he should win it, because players like Nasri, wilshire, Hart and Nani have all had great seasons. But players like Coleman and Bale? Come on, they're okay players, but in terms of productivity they don't really do anything. It's quite an embarassment for the league if a player as "good" as Bale is on the Player of the Year list. In other news.. QUOTE Fan sues Sunderland over ball in face injury
Sunderland are being sued by a fan who was injured while watching the team train, the chairman has revealed.
Niall Quinn was responding to a question during a BBC Radio Newcastle phone-in about whether fans were still allowed to watch training sessions.
He said that legal action was ongoing after the supporter was knocked out by a stray shot.
The Premier League club has declined to release further details about the incident.
Niall Quinn said: "We had a supporter who got a bad injury,
"I think it was one of Djibril Cisse's misses where he had a shot from 20 yards.
"I'm making fun of it now, but it knocked a supporter out. It was quite serious.
"That supporter is in the process of suing us right now." Are we turning into America? He can sue the club, but if he wins it's a joke. Though it's what modern people seem to have become, sueing everyone for their own stupidity.

I can't believe Bale is in it. It's ridiculous this hype. He is not world-class, I can't believe he has been labelled that over here after 2 good games against a right-back who clearly wants out of his club. Schalke made Inter look silly so it was hardly like it was some great feat.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Apr 8 2011, 06:00 PM) He reminds me of Giggs Giggs is still now, overshadowing him though. Bale is 21, so he should be at some level already but he hasn't shown it bar 2 games and the odd Premiership goal. His technical skill is terrible too he is the epitome of a kick and run footballer.

Teams have been sitting back on him for a while now and he looks lost. If he can't beat them with pace, he doesn't know what to do. It just proves what I've always said about the London media though, if a player has an oustanding game - which he did at the San Siro vs Inter - they are going to hype up every little thing he does. That Inter 2nd half was one of the best performances I've seen in a long time, but at the end of the day, it's still just 45 minutes. Not even that if you want to be cynical, it was just 10 minutes of good play. He still has a long, long way to go until he reaches Ashley Young's performances between 07/08 and 09/10. In that period he scored 27 goals and 47 assists. He was the source of 74 goals in 3 years for Villa, not too bad really! At Bale's current EPL rate, it'd take him 25 years to get 47 assists. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Talking of Ash. I think it's pretty clear he'll be leaving, just don't know where. Apparently we want Matt Jarvis to replace him. I wouldn't be against it, he fully deserved his first England cap this season and has been very good in a poor team. Hopefully Wolves go down so we get him cheaper. Will be good in a rotation with Downing/Albrighton in the wide positions.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Apr 10 2011, 05:01 PM) HT Villa 1-0 Newcastle. Shocker: Bent goal disallowed for offside - he was onside. Nice to see our luck is starting to turn. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) You did get a goal against Everton that shouldn't have counted though right? I thought it was onside too but it isn't all luck against Villa, though I guess we both know where these conversations go! Anyway, Arsenal at it again, clearly lost faith in Almunia so like I called a few weeks back it now looks like Lehmann will play quite a part in the run in due to a mysterious warm-up injury suffered by Almunia. If this was United everyone would be calling foul play (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Not only this but he should have been off, though because the Blackpool player scored it was fine? Yet the ref went back and booked Wilshere for a previous challenge? Then Koscielny clearly to anyone inside the stadium takes the guy out in the box, but no penalty? Officiating has absolutely no consistency, not even in the same matches anymore. I'm no fan of Blackpool, especially Holloway but refereeing decisions cost them in this, absolutely no doubt.

I thought it was onside too but it isn't all luck against Villa, though I guess we both know where these conversations go! Which goal against Everton? Both of our goals against them were fine as far as I'm aware. I've not heard anyone complain about either. The one complaint Moyes had was that Beckford hit the bar and it bounced down, but even with video replay they couldn't tell if it went over the line, so you can't argue that was a definite goal. Even then, Jagielka won a penalty for nothing late on, so at best we came out of that game with 'even' amounts of bad/good luck. I don't usually complain after a win, but Atwell is really an embarassment to refereeing, even in this day and age where the 'best' referee is ****. Oh, and **** Newcastle and **** Joey Barton. I'd be very pleased if both of them just disappeared off the face of the Earth.

I always get the feeling I'm right when people post moronic pictures in response. As for Koscielny, Lehmann, etc in the match, I guess that was all a 'conspiracy' too? If only this were United, you and others would be shouting bloody murder yesterday afternoon and how "United paid the referees" or how "United always get the decisions" or how "This wouldn't be allowed for any other club bar United" etc.
Ah, I think it may have been one Everton scored which wasn't allowed actually, my bad.
As for Attwell, I've said he's terrible for years, the amount of terrible decisions he's made is laughable.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Apr 11 2011, 03:58 AM) I've not seen any games but the Villa one to be honest, so can't really comment on Arsenal. What exactly happened that was so bad? QUOTE (Locke Lamora @ Apr 11 2011, 09:32 AM) We won the game... Really... the whole Lehmann thing aside. The decisions that went for Arsenal were verging on ridiculous. The Lehmann incident he was very fortunate, how can you go back and book Wilshere in the same move, but not book Lehmann, let alone send him off? I don't get that. Though the real idiotic decision was the Koscielny incident, how was that not a penalty? That could have potentially been 10 men, no recognisable goalkeeper and been made 2-2 at that point. There was also an incident where Eboue blocks Adam pretty much with a wild arm/elbow but I guess the big clubs get the decisions, no doubt. QUOTE @MilanAreBrilliant, how the hell am I supposed to argue against something like that? If you really believe Almunia either injured himself or feigned an injury because the club feels safer with a semi-retired 41-year old at the back than a 33-year old who recently put in a MOTM performance against Barcelona, then obviously nothing I say is going to change your mind. To be honest there was a lot more to the original post than just that. Obviously though I'm not the only one who is skeptical when half of your fans are laughing at him and giving him ironic cheers when he actually makes a save. It's just I see time and time again people complain about every little thing about United on here (and by no means am I there biggest fan), yet when it's other clubs it doesn't really get anywhere near the same attention. I mean United scored a marginal offside goal on Saturday though would have still won the game 1-0, yet Chelsea scored a ridiculous goal where Torres practically elbows the keeper giving them there only goal, yet nothing is said!
