Here's the official denial:

MILANO - In riferimento alle notizie divulgate oggi relative a una sua presunta rescissione di contratto, l'allenatore del Milan Leonardo precisa che queste sono da intendersi totalmente prive di fondamento.

seems like that we ll have another get-by/trophyless season again and that behind the scenes there working on youth i suppose. If we sell pato though for 55 million then they should seriously consider buying 4-5 good players with that money

If someone offers 55 million for Pato that seems like a snap-sell decision to me. He's a good player, but no way he's worth anywhere close to that much at the moment.

Oh, the article says he'll stay through the end of the season and will coach the 3 friendlies in north america. But there's another article from another mediaset guy that confirms he'll leave. This one adds that Maldini won't play any real part in things at Milan until after Galliani is gone (there's a lot of bad feelings - understandably - about how poorly Milan handled Maldini's farewell).

Rightly so. Not keen one bit about the rumour bringing Lippi here one bit

Its not so much a question of money rather than talent, he is the only real star we have at the moment, if we sell him, then we have nothing to build around in the future.

Seriously?

Cause it's pretty much a matter of having Pato, and not having Pato. if you think the money would be spent on a world class player, you shoudl think again. his sale money won't make any difference to this circus of a club except that we won't have him to rely on anymore. just like we sold Kaka for 70 million euro and didn't do **** with it.

Of course they would need to reinvest that money in multiple good players to make it worth it! When we sit here and argue that the team has so many holes to fill on the pitch, it'd be better to have several solid players instead of one star, imo. But I really don't think anyone will offer that much, so it's all hypothetically speaking.

That's what I'm saying! we won't reinvest the sale money so we're better off not selling one of our very few young, key players.

And that's why whenever someone says they'd happily sell Pato if a good offer was made, I react!

Some might say Pato is Milans only star but they are 11 players on the field, not only him, and Pato is very young and has great talent, so It's hard to find a good offer for him.

I think Pato is probably the only player who would have a huge sell on value, but it's knowing when the right time to cash in on him is. I think the management have made it pretty clear that we're happy to sell anyone for a decent offer.

I agree and not to make a misstake, Pato is worth Ramos and Higuain and I belive even if Messi is 23 and this great and Pato is 3 or 4 yrs old younger, he can become great even greater then Messi it depends on how he will make it, and everybode sees the talent that he has.

It makes me wonder with all these changes coming in that how long does Galliani have with Milan? I honestly think that 2010/2011 might be his last year.

The direction things seem to be moving in is that Silvio wants milan to be able to run by itself and then he will cut his ties from the club. I doubt he will sell the club, he will probably hand it over to piersilvio but it will be interesting to see what direction this club takes in the next 5 years. Will we sell to arabs or will it turn into another Napoli? Who knows...we'll have to wait and see.

But for now the next 2 years won't be pretty people, buckle up and prepare for the worst.

Milan Won't Spend Big In The Summer - Report
The club's transfer budget will be approved next week, but fans have been told not to hold their breath, according to reports...

Milan will not be entering any grandiose spending schemes during the summer transfer market because president Silvio Berlusconi will not allocate extravagant funds for new players, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The club's transfer budget for 2010 will be approved next Friday when Berlusconi's holding company Fininvest, who control Milan, gathers for their annual general meeting.

Milan's economic deficit has been curbed after the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid last year which saw their debt slashed from €70 million to €10m.

However, despite the upturn in finances, Gazzetta forecasts there will be no major spending. Gone are the days when Berlusconi injected cash into the club.

And fans will have a clearer picture of what Leonardo will be doing in relation to transfers by the end of term.

He needs to spend at some point or we just won't compete often enough.

We could still do with a #1 GK, an extra full back, a 3rd CB capable of standing in for Nesta/Silva, someone to cover for Pirlo, another wide man would do nicely as well.
