Haha. Another second-gen kid coming up.
Maurizio Ganz's son Simoneandrea will be playing with the Allievi Regionali team (this is the team for 15 year olds).

QUOTE MILAN - Simoneandrea Ganz will play next season with the Allievi Regionali of Milan. A nice epilogue for the son of one of the protagonists of the 16th Scudetto victory, the tricolore won in the 1998-99 season thanks to decisive goals by Maurizio Ganz against Piacenza, Bari, Parma, and Sampdoria. Without those goals, the title victory would not have been possible. Ganz still feels very close to that triumph.
Particularly satisfied about this are Ariedo Braida ("In football the difference is made by human relationships and small things, that's why Simoneandrea will be one of ours, we have an excellent relationship with his parents") and Ruben Buriani, the man responsible for the youth sector: "We will put no pressure on him. He will start to work with Fulvio Florin. Then we'll see whether to let him go to the Allievi Nazionali with Walter De Vecchi."
And what about father Ganz? "It's not entirely true that he's like me. Simoneandrea is physically stronger and doesn't just think about goals, but also about the team." The young striker will be on training camp in Cles (Turin) with his new team mates, starting from 18 August, after having played three years in Masseroni Marchese, the Milanese sporting club who host the Adidas Cup matches throughout the year. This is from the official website. I'm wondering if this is really good news or aren't we a bit to much..nepotistic?

The market for primavera age players is hopping right along. Milan have loaned (with right to buy) one Piermaria Carini, a 17 year old striker from Padova. [17 is generally the age for the Berretti, the team currently coached by Franco Baresi, unless you're REALLY good like Albertazzi, who's playing with the primavera.]

Anyone knows what's happened to last year's Primavera players? There were some promising players there Offredi, Bruscagin, Cosner, Guerci, Umunegbu,... I only know about Darmian, Paloschi, Di Gennaro and the Aub's... By the way, I don't want to be bitchy but I don't like it that former players are in a sub-forum... I don't think there are so many threads that a new category was needed anyway... QUOTE (kidfunka @ Jul 15 2008, 01:50 AM) Hi all,

Bruscagin has gone on loan to (I think) a Serie C side, as has the Primavera keeper. I'll poke around and see if I can come up with a full list.
FYI the new youth team squad lists are up on acmilan.com. Alberigo Evani is now the primavera coach and Franco Baresi remains Berretti coach.
Of note is the young Wellington Feliciano De Morais CAFU, a defender in the primavera who was accompanied to Milanello this morning by his father.

Yep, his dad is our Marcus Cafu! I don't know where young Wellington will play in defense, but he IS listed as a defender.
Of note regarding other young Milan players: the one that the Italian press are buzzing about right now is Michelangelo Albertazzi, who plays as LB for the U19s. The kid is really good - if you get a chance to watch the U19 final tomorrow, you'll get to see him play. He's definitely one for the future.

Who do the Italian media hail as the best young prospect nowadays? I guess Fiorillo is one of them... And have you read anything about Lazio's Tuia!?
