Did Huntelaar play? I want to see him in the Euro's been hearing so much positive stuff for a long time now.

I only was the first half then switched to Toulon's tournament but I think he wasn't even on the bench, they showed him, Babel and another guy on the stand ...

Anyway, the game ended 1-1 Poulsen scored the equalizer.

The Czech republic beat Scotland this afternoon 3-1.

Tonight there's an interesting Italy-Belgium (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

FT. Italy 3-1 Belgium.

Italy controlled the match and played pretty well, Belgium scored at the 93th and Borriello missed a sitter, his first touch let down after Zambro's cross but in his defence it was raining (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

Zamba was great.

Not really Euro2008 news, but..

QUOTE
Capello has been looking at who his permanent captain will be and has given the armband to Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, John Terry and will now give Beckham his 59th game as skipper. Capello was widely expected to hand the armband to Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry for the final match of the season but instead opted for the experienced Beckham.

The move could be interpreted as a means of winning favour with Fifa vice-president Jack Warner, who holds an important vote in the process of England's 2018 World Cup bid.

If this is true, Capello is a very, very weak man. What kind of manager picks a captain for good PR? From the comments I've read, Capello has lost alot of respect from England fans. I thought we have a manager with mental strength for a change!
