It looks to be mostly the Neapolitans who're smirking. (At this point my grandfather would make a nasty joke about Neapolitans).
In any event, the poor Roma players missed yesterday's halftime entertainment. They + Grosso joined the group today and Perrotta trained normally so no injury worries, it would seem.
The current projected lineup for the Friday friendly v. Belgium is a 4-3-3: Buffon Zambrotta Cannavaro Materazzi Grosso Gattuso Pirlo Ambrosini Camoranesi Toni Di Natale

Half a dozen players won't travel to Kaiserslautern for the friendly against Belarus. Tim Borowski and Arne Friedrich are sich while Adler and Gomez have minor injuries. Also Kevin Kuranyi and Simon Rolfes will be rested as they played more games than any other international. Hope to see Marko Marins first appearance with the eagle on his chest tommorow. That guy is really talented and so far I've only seen him on 2nd Bundesliga highlights.

No Totti? Not even Cassano? I doubt that will work.. Only Pirlo can help Italy make a good Euro result. It's only up to him IMO..

Er. Totti wasn't called up, Fillipo.
The above lineup is pretty much what Donadoni has used in recent qualifiers, with minor tweaks (ie, sometimes Barzagli in defense, sometimes Quagliarella in place of Camoranesi).
It's an interesting formation, really. The two wingers will drop back into the midfield during defense (making it more of a 4-5-1) and then move up in attack. I can see it working with Cassano on one of the wings -- not sure about Del Piero though, since he's in the past been public about NOT wanting to play on the wing.
How's Croatia's preparation going? I saw that they won their recent friendly.

QUOTE (aLbErTo @ May 26 2008, 11:07 PM) it's going on well for now...at least there's not been any injurie problem jet...just Knezevic has some problems, if they wont be solved in N (??) days, Krizanac (Zenit) could take his place... Nah, he's crossed for Bilić till Euro end. They have a private disagreement, and Vejić has also advantage since he's part of the additional players.. QUOTE Er. Totti wasn't called up, Fillipo. I know...just being nostalgic. Still, who's gonna deliver for Italy? I doubt Camoranesi and Di Natale will be 'nuff for France.

That's what it looks like on the face of things, Kurt. But it looked like that going into the World Cup too, where I wasn't sure Italy would make it out of their group. We all know how that one ended. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Italy does have a nastily difficult group, but I think they've got a good chance of going through. It just doesn't pay to underestimate 'em.
